All Performing Group families are required to participate in two fundraising events – a Performing Group lunch and a bake sale during viewing week. Details of these fundraising activities are outlined below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
All the money raised will directly benefit the Performing Group Dancers.
All Performing Group fund raising is achieved through the Parent Group. The Parent Group is a group of Counterpoint dance mom’s and dads who help to raise funds for the dancers by offering to volunteer their time in additional fund raisers such as coffee, water and treats, raffles, recital flowers, etc. etc.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the Patent Group meetings and to participate in these extra fundraising efforts. The next Parent Group meeting will be held on Saturday October 28th at 10:15am.
During Demonstration week, November 22nd through December 2nd 2006 , the performing group has a bake sale to raise funds for the Performing Group show. We ask that all families bring in baked goods to sell.
To ensure we have a variety of items for each day of the sale, a schedule will be posted on the performing group bulletin board. Please fill you name on a day which you will be bringing your goods in. Please bring in items when you are dropping your dancer off for their normal classes.
We will have tables set up at the studio, money is collected in a jar on the honour system. Please ensure the following to help the sale run smoothly.
Some suggestions for bake sale items are cookies, cupcakes, popcorn balls, puff wheat squares, etc. If you are not a baker, but are crafty, you are welcome to bring in little crafts to sell instead.
The sale is advertised prior to Demonstration Week so parents can be prepared to buy their dancers a treat for a job well done! Keep in mind pretty packages usually sell well!
A REMINDER, PLEASE MAKE ALL YOUR BAKED GOODS OR TREATS NUT FREE!
Most dancers will have their performing group rehearsals on Saturday. We offer the dancers an opportunity to buy lunch at $4.00 per meal. This fundraiser serves two purposes, firstly to provide our dancers with a nutritious meal during the day as well as raise the majority of money used to put on the Performing Group show. Participation in this fundraiser is required. Thank you.
A schedule is posted on the performing group bulletin board. Please choose a partner (another performing group family) and an available Saturday you would like to host the lunch and post it on the schedule. If you are new to Performing Group and/or do not know anyone to partner with, please let us know and we will be happy to help you find another Performing Group family in the same situation.
On your chosen Saturday, it is your responsibility to provide the food and serve lunch between the hours 11:30am to 1:30pm (approximately). Normally, the lunches consist of a single meal choice, a juice (juice box only) or water and a treat. Some suggestions for meals are hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches. Be as creative as you like. Please note, we have dancers with nut allergies, please make all your meals and/or treats NUT FREE.
***Be prepared to serve approximately 40 dancers***

Items you are responsible to bring:
Once your shift is over, all money collected, except for the $10 float, is to be put in the office in the “parent group mail slot” located on the office door just below the light switch Clean and put away all the items you have used so they are ready for the next family.
In order to offer our dancers a variety, we ask that you mark on the schedule, beside your name, what you served that week as well as approximately how many dancers bought lunch. This will help the remaining families plan their lunches. Thank you.
If you are unable to provide lunch on the Saturday you have selected, it is your responsibility to switch with someone who is available. Please remember to let you partner know about any switches made.
