Ballet Exams Information
The Ballet students have been working very hard and we have seen a great deal of progress from all of them - GREAT WORK! The Royal Academy of Dance Ballet examinations are approaching and I encourage all students to partake in the exam process. The students spend a great deal of time learning the required syllabus and the exam is an excellent opportunity for them to demonstrate and be rewarded for their talents. All exams are held here at Counterpoint.
The Royal Academy of dance (RAD) promotes dance internationally. The RAD is one of the most influential dance education and examining organizations in the world. The RAD examiner that Counterpoint hosts may come from as far away as Australia or England to examine our dancers. A wonderful opportunity for all dancers to experience.
We will get confirmation as to the exact date and times after the forms are sent to the R.A.D. offices.
To help the students fully prepare we will be holding additional classes/mock exams that must be attended by all those interested in taking the examination. During the March 2 nd practice the dancers will have the opportunity to practice with the piano player that will be accompanying them on exam day.

Grade 3 March 2, 9 1:45-2:30
Grade 4 March 2, 9 2:30-3:15
Grade 5 March 2, 9 3:15-4:00
Grade 6 March 2, 9 4:00-4:45
Grade 7 March 2 only 4:45-5:30
Grade 2-6 parents are encouraged to view the mock exam on March 9th. Grade 7 parents are welcome to view the March 2 nd practice Thank-you.
